Labradoodles are super adorable dogs! They’re extremely sweet and loveable. Your child can learn how to draw a different breed of dog with this easy step-by-step drawing tutorial. Go grab your supplies and let’s get drawing!

What is a Labradoodle?

A labradoodle is a crossbreed between a Labrador Retriever and a Miniature, Standard or Toy Poodle. Labradoodles are quite gentle, playful, friendly, intelligent and moderately active. Their lifespan is between 10 to 14 years. They can weigh anywhere between 50 and 75 pounds. These dogs are easy to train and groom. A labradoodle is good with children, the elderly, families, cats as well as other dogs.

To draw a labradoodle, you will require the following materials

  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Drawing Paper
  • Black Marker
  • Crayons/Color Pencils

The time needed to draw a labradoodle is approximately 45 minutes.

How to Draw a Labradoodle?

When drawing anything, it is always best to use drawing guides. Guides and guidelines provide a reference point that helps while drawing. To make a guide, you will need to either draw dotted lines with your pencil – horizontally and vertically or fold your drawing paper in these two ways.

Draw a labradoodle by following these steps

Step 1: Start by very lightly drawing a shape for the top head.
Step 2: Next, lightly sketch the rest of the head.
Step 3: Now lightly draw the body and the front legs of the labradoodle.
Step 4: Very lightly draw the back legs too.
Step 5: Now, draw over the head of the labradoodle with wiggly and squiggly lines.
Step 6: Similarly, add these wiggly lines to the body and legs.
Step 7: Finish drawing the wiggly lines over the back legs of the labradoodle.
Step 8: Now add a tail. Draw wiggly lines over the tail. Add more squiggly and curvy lines to the labradoodle to show its curly fur. Draw a horizon line too.
Step 9: Outline your labradoodle drawing and color it!
