What materials will you need to draw a crown?

You will not need much to draw a crown that looks like royalty! The materials that you will require for this drawing includes the following:

Pencil
Eraser
Drawing paper
Black marker
Crayons
Any decorative materials you want to add (optional)

How long will it take you to draw a crown?

If your child wants to make a really beautiful crown, it should take about 40 minutes!

Divide your drawing paper in half both horizontally and vertically. This will give you a reference point and make it easier when you draw.

Follow these simple steps to draw a crown:

Step 1: Start by drawing a wide non-curved ‘U’ shape.

Step 2: Next, to draw the sides of the crown – angle the sides a little and add three little circles, the center circle being slightly larger than the other two.

Step 3: Draw two symmetrical curves – similar to a curved ‘w’ – from the middle circle that you drew in the previous step.

Step 4: Next, connect your previous curves with two more curves and circles.

Step 5: Near the top, draw a wide band.

Step 6: Now on the bottom, add another band.

Step 7: Now go crazy and embellish your crown with an assortment of jewels.

Step 8: Outline your crown with a black marker or golden yellow crayon.

Step 9: Finish your royal work by filling your crown with a light yellow color and the jewels with bright colors.

Your glamorous crown is ready! Go ahead and add glitter, sequins, shiny decorations, ribbons and anything else you want to make your crown look extremely shiny and stunning!
