How to Draw a Caterpillar?
When drawing anything, it is always best to use drawing guides. Guides and guidelines provide a reference point that helps while drawing. To make a guide, you will need to either draw dotted lines with your pencil – horizontally and vertically or fold your drawing paper in these two ways.
To draw a caterpillar, follow these steps
Step 1: Start by drawing a curved center spine for the caterpillar. Don’t make it too dark because you will need to erase this later on.
Step 2: Now draw eight straight lines centered on the spine.
Step 3: Connect the top ends of all the lines with a curved line.
Step 4: Now connect the bottom ends of all the lines with a curved line.
Step 5: Now you can erase the spine curve. Draw the head of the caterpillar.
Step 6: Draw some eyes and a mouth for the caterpillar.
Step 7: Draw some spots on your caterpillar. Add the antennae and lots of feet.
Step 8: Outline your caterpillar with a black marker. You can shade the outside with a dark green color.
Step 9: Now color the rest of the caterpillar. Also, add details and color the background.
