our schedule keeps this in mind, so kids have one lesson a week with the coach, they then have an organized set of windows to set up jam sessions, all within the secure allround colab community.

week day 2: action session today

1. work individually to solve the quiz - know your chessboard.
2. work in groups of 2 to challenge each other on the names and numbers of each square.

week day 3: colab session today

create a DIY chess set - from the board to the pieces.

what are cohort-based courses (cbcs)?

at allround kids follow a cohort-based learning practice. this is a collaborative learning approach. a group of kids advances through a learning program together. in this way, you complete a learning course with a) your coach and b)your peers. kids attend sessions and complete challenges online, instead of in person.

what are tracks? which tracks are offered?

by tracks, we mean individual learning interests. so while ‘music’ is more of an umbrella term, vocals, piano, drums are the tracks allround brings alive. similarly, 'arts' covers a large panorama of pursuits while we deliver tracks in drawing, painting, and pottery.

what is discord? will joining the discord server be compulsory?

discord is a free voice, video, and text chat app that's used by millions of people ages 13+ to talk and hang out. people use discord daily to talk about topics ranging from art projects, family trips, homework, and mental health support. discord is the heartbeat of allround colab, while joining it will never be compulsory, our moderated sessions always make security a priority. we make colab a great collaborative community for kids that is always safe.

what is the required time commitment from the kids?

a few minutes on prep day, an hour on the session day with the coach, and 30 minutes on huddle day. two hours a week tops and your kids will be on their way towards learning goals that are fun and engaging.

are the session day classes mandatory?

yes. this is where your kids spend quality time with an allround expert coach, upskilling, learning, and collaborating with the coach and their peers.
