It also aids a better mathematical comprehension. It is a concept found in mainly the traditional or conventional setups, mainly preschool, and elementary math curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>You can help your kids practice math patterns in an entertaining and fun way by making a repeating math pattern project. \u201cA repeating pattern is a type of pattern where the rule just keeps on repeating over and over.\u201d Some examples are tiles, pavers, windows, zebra crossings, and railway lines. Such objects are generally assembled from units that are very nearly identical.<\/p>\n<p>Visual and interactive learning in the form of games and activities are a great way to teach and supplement the conventional workbook curriculum. The pattern comes up often in math and children love to learn by playing games and also it is better to teach children in a way that is interactive and involves them to take initiative and come up with more creative ideas.<\/p>\n<p>This game does not really require any special equipment on materials so it is anyway better to teach children using this method regularly. You can save these cutouts for later and this will prove to be the best when it comes to making repetitive patterns and teaching your kids using this project.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"design_pattern\"><\/span>Design Pattern<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Ask your child to design and create a recurring pattern in each row of the printable by using the cut of 5 pieces of paper and pasting them together.<\/p>\n<p>You should take care that you give the child work according to their ability. for the younger kids, the pattern should be easy and simple while on the other hand for elementary school children you can give more advanced and complex patterns. here are a few examples that will simplify the task of giving patterns grades and ability vise,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The AB Pattern (blue, green, blue, green . . . )<\/li>\n<li>The ABC Pattern (red, green, yellow, red, green, yellow . . . )<\/li>\n<li>The ABBC Pattern (red, green, green, yellow, red, green, green, yellow..)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This exercise not only increases the creativity of the children but also improved their critical thinking ability and enhances their visual learning and analyzing capacity.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"flannel_board_activity\"><\/span>Flannel Board Activity<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This math activity involving patterns is also a very fun and entertaining activity. It is a flannel board activity. Flannel board pieces invite children to feel the component of each pattern. it involves cutting shapes of various sizes and colors.
