Not only are they entertaining, but they are also inexpensive and will attract a large number of birds to your yard.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ingredients_for_easy_cookie_cutter_bird_feeder\"><\/span>Ingredients for Easy Cookie Cutter Bird Feeder<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Although cookie cutter bird feeders are simple to create, they do require some time to set up. If you follow these instructions, your children will have hands-on experience producing these entertaining bird snacks. All you need to do is gather all the above-mentioned ingredients!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/4 cup flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup water<\/li>\n<li>1 envelope unflavoured gelatine<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp. corn syrup<\/li>\n<li>4 cups birdseed<\/li>\n<li>Assorted cookie cutters\/molds<\/li>\n<li>Non-stick Spray or Cooking Oil<\/li>\n<li>Drinking Straws, cut to size<\/li>\n<li>Waxed Paper<\/li>\n<li>Twine\/ Ribbon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"easy_cookie_cutter_bird_feeders_for_kids\"><\/span>Easy Cookie Cutter Bird Feeders for Kids<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step_1\"><\/span>Step 1<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Begin by dissolving gelatin in warm water in a small pot. Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce it to low heat. The birdseed mixture should be poured into the cookie cutters. Fill them halfway and pack them tightly. It&#8217;s crucial to only fill them halfway to ensure that the ribbon is in the center of the cookie. A ribbon that isn&#8217;t centered on the finished cookie may cause it to break easily.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step_4\"><\/span>Step 4<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>To make a loop, tie a knot at the end of the ribbon. Cover the knotted end of the ribbon with birdseed to keep it in place in the cookie cutter, then fill the rest of the cookie cutter with the birdseed mixture. Make sure you pack it down as tightly as possible, paying special attention to the corners of any odd shapes where the birdseed is more difficult to get to for the kids.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step_5\"><\/span>Step 5<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The gelatin will start to firm up after an hour. Turn each cutter over and firmly press it down from the top. This will help to level the opposite side and make the birdseed biscuit more compact or stronger.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"step_6\"><\/span>Step 6<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Allow the cookies to dry completely overnight in the cutters.
