It used to be the default view on origins in our family. When I was once young, I had the luxury of being oblivious to the tensions between science and the Christian faith. I was once an avid nature lover, and I desired to be outside exploring and playing in the woods where my mother and father had constructed our household home. I described the period as a tree-hugger! It grieved my spirit to purpose any of God\u2019s creatures to perish, such as the spiders that made our residence their home!<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"my_dad_and_francis_collins\"><\/span>My dad and Francis Collins<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The first of these occasions was once when my father used to be recognized with an aggressive structure of Genius most cancers in the fall of 2011.
